The operator of https://alexmeleshko.com is Alex Meleshko (also published as Алексей Мелешко). This is a personal blog about blockchain, AI, crypto, startups, and building products.

This policy describes personal data that may be processed when you visit the site, read posts, leave comments, use the RSS feeds, or contact me through the channels published on the site.

It does not cover third-party websites linked from the blog (including social networks and messengers).

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

• Technical visit data: IP address (including a hashed form used for anti-spam), browser/device information, pages viewed, timestamps, and referrer.
• Cookies and similar technologies: interface language preference (locale) and analytics identifiers from Google Analytics and Yandex Metrika.
• Article comments: display name, comment text, optional email, locale, plus anti-spam technical fields (including IP hash and user-agent). Comments are published only after moderation.
• Messages you send via the email address or Telegram account published on the site, processed only to respond to you.
• Server and operational logs needed for hosting, security, and diagnostics.

Data is processed to:

• operate the site, remember your language preference, and keep the interface working;
• moderate and publish comments, and reduce spam or abuse;
• understand readership in aggregate via analytics;
• reply to collaboration and other inquiries;
• maintain security and reliability.

Processing is based on the operator’s legitimate interest in running a personal blog, preventing spam, and improving content; on consent expressed by clear actions (such as submitting a comment or contacting me); and on the need to respond to your request.

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, specific processing may additionally rely on consent or legitimate interests to the extent permitted by applicable law.

The site uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-VTYF4YPE2H) and Yandex Metrika (counter 96529540), including features such as session replay (Webvisor), click maps, and link tracking. These providers may set their own cookies and process visit data on their infrastructure.

A locale cookie stores your preferred language version (EN/RU).

You can limit cookies in your browser settings or with extensions; some analytics features may then work only partially. Google’s and Yandex’s own policies apply to data they receive.

Personal data is not sold. It may be shared with hosting, infrastructure, and analytics providers as needed to run the site, or when required by law or to protect the operator’s rights.

Approved comments are visible to anyone reading the related post.

Comments and related technical fields are kept while needed for publication and moderation, or until you ask for deletion (unless another lawful reason requires keeping a record).

Analytics and logs are retained according to the settings of those services and for a reasonable period for security and statistics.

Email/Telegram correspondence is kept as long as needed to reply and continue the conversation if it continues.

You may request access to your data, correction, deletion of a comment or related information, or object to certain processing by writing to the contact email.

Where EU/EEA law applies, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

The site is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact me and the data will be deleted where reasonably possible.
